Each pair of blue-painted shoes in the installation represents a personal action taken by the person who wore and painted the shoe, so the artwork not only tells the viewer a story about the future of climate change, but also stands as a symbol for the community of all people to take immediate action and that everyone can do something to reduce their carbon footprint. We want to establish the blue shoe as a global symbol for climate protection - a symbol that transcends language barriers and is understood in all cultures and continents - a symbol that unites people and motivates them to make a change together.
